Just a "shot out" for all the ammo mongerer's like myself. A while back I got sick an tired of paying super primo prices for .458 SOCOM, and .45LC. Thru an internet search and some time on AR15.com, I ran across an Indiana outfit called Profire-Red Star Ammo. I purchased 1000 .45LC with XTP bullets, and wow....what a difference! I've fired just about every "premium" .45LC off the shelf, and this was the tightest group I'd ever gotten. Top shelf....and LESS than any other similary advertised prices with the same type of bullet. I also have a .458 SOCOM, though it's not a tack driver, it's interesting to see how the different bullet weights, and brands perform. So far, the 250gr flat nose from Corbon has held the best groups.....but....a friend of mine gave me some .458 flex tips from ProFire, and wow...slightly less recoil, but much, much tighter groups in the 1.5" range at 100yds. Here is the link to their price list. www.profiresupply.com/Ammo.htm

Thanks for the source. It gives a fellow more options for "non-standard" loads.
