Been a while, I apologize. Things with work and family have consumed almost all my time this first half of the winter. I went out on a Moose hunt with my two boys this past fall. We ended up filling two tags. The rifle did a great job, at the heart of it was a 18" custom .308 barrel. Made it home this afternoon, been busy unloading the boat and putting away some meat. The good luck worked! We bagged two cows, one on the first night and one on the third day. I had a blast! Being with my two boys made it so much more enjoyable. They helped with everything, from the hunt to skinning and hanging the moose. We had beautiful weather, was a great trip all the way around. I killed the first one with my Custom 308 AR on the very first night. I also killed the second moose after my son hit it. My boys and I with the First moose, bagged this past September. Tundra and Kusilvak Mountain My boys ready for the hunt Number two, taken on the 11th of September. My boys working on the hindquarter With their Gramps(My FIL) My FIL looked deep in thought Camp and Hanging moose Beautiful Night! Beautiful Morning also After all the hard work, grilled some backstraps and had it with a onion, butter, peppercorn creamsauce!

That is awesome! Congrats!
Time spent afield is always great, but to spend it with family AND to have successfully harvested game is even better!
Thanks for sharing and I am sure that meat will be enjoyed for some time.
