The bolt is "on it's way" from CompetitionShooting.com, I got the type II. I ordered a whole carrier group from PARALLAX TACTICAL, Phosphate coated, it was supposed to ship on March 15 but I just got an email stating that the recent blizzard has delayed everything another 10 days and if anyone wanted to cancel they can. Maybe someone will cancel and mine will show up earlier.
Now I am itching, the lower is all together. No major problems, I bent the bolt catch roll pin and found one the exact size at my corner hardware store after I ordered 2 (along with a few other needed things to make it worth the shipping cost) from Midway, I even checked the "AR store" near me and they didn't have any parts at all for an AR. I put a few tiny scratches in it, they covered fine with the Birchwood Casey pen, I only had the gloss, it will look much better when the flat paint pen comes in. Other than that it went together way easier than I thought it would. I think I'll find someone with an upper to see how the lower does.
I covered everything up with tape but I guess not well enough. This thing isn't going to be a wall hanger, I am sure it will be put through the ringer.
The Aero Precision COP upper came in and fits like a glove. I had one on order from Brownell"s, I looked on the AP site and saw they were in stock. I called Brownell's to see if the one I ordered from them had been shipped, while I was on hold I fired an email off to AP. Brownell's rep said it was shipped, Email from AP said they hadn't filled the Brownell's orders yet . So the long morning on the phone started.
Shawna at AP was very helpfull in getting me my upper. She got it to me in 5 days.
If you have anything on order from Brownell's that is shipped from an outside vendor call and ask to talk directly to the "Drop Ship" department. The girl there helped me out in getting the order cancelled, she didn't know why the other rep said it was shipped.
Comp shooting said on April 3 they got parts in and the bolt would be shipping in 2-3 weeks, so hopefully it should be here soon.
My BHW barrel will be the last thing I am waiting for after I get the bolt. Lets keep our fingers crossed everything falls into place.
Now if only I can find some CCI 450 primers I can get some starting loads together.
