Who has 264 Ammo in stock? I have a bunch ordered from AA, but it is on back order. I just wanted to start this thread to possibly get some "unknown" manufacturers out in the open. I will be reloading also and want to have a start on the brass. Sources for in stock reloading supplies and "recipes" would also be appreciated. I keep an eye on ar15 but they don't offer much for the 264.
Thanks.

The best all around brass is made by Lapua. I have experienced inconsistent neck tension and case weight with the other brands. If you buy it from AA it is about the same price as the other brands. Also try the Hornady 123 Amax the ogive is designed to work in an AR chamber fed from the magazine. The B.C. is also higher than the other bullets except the Lapua Scenar.

I agree on the A max bullets when you can find them at reasonable prices.
My favorite load is using the 123 grain Sierra HPBTM bullet with 8208 XBR powder. Very consistent groups under a dime at 100. I've been using the Hornady brass and have three reloads on them so far. I've a bunch of Lapua/AA brass sitting on the bench ready to go next.
My AR also likes the Sierra 120 grain HPBTM bullets equally well with the same powder - different load, of course.
As for what load that's up your rifle but you can't go wrong with the IMR 8208XBR powder. Check online for load data weights. I don't like passing along loading data for obvious legal reasons. yep I'm thinking we have way to many underemployed lawyers! I'm chicken straight up.

You can post all the loads you want as long as its published in a loading manual. You can also post where you got the load you are using.

OK! Hodgdon Reloading Data Center:
120 gr: 8208XBR from 25.0 to 28.0. I've tried everything from 26.5 to 28.0 in 3 to 5 grain segments. My BWH 24" bull barrel likes the max load of 28.0 grains with CCI 400 primers. About a 1/2" at 100.
123 gr: 8208XBR from 25.5 to 28.5. My barrel likes the 28.3 grain load with CCI 400 primers. Hands down this is my favorite with the Sierra 123 gr. BTHPM bullet. 3/4" at 200 all day long!
I use the 28.3 grain load with Hornady AMAX 123 grainers, too. Absolutely deadly way out there on Prairie Dogs - Those beyond 600 yards.
All shooting from a bench with a bi-pod.
All bullets seated to just fit in an AR magazine.
No deformed primers or pressure signs.
8208XBR covers a very wide range of calibers and isn't at all prone to weather or hot/cold temps.
My neighbor is also a competitive shooter and uses the same powder in his AA, 6.5 Grendel, 26" barrel, rifle.
The 28.0 and 28.3 are compressed loads and you should, with all honesty, start lower to see how your setup responds. What one person shoots well might be a looser in another setup even with the same barrel.
Good Luck. To me working up a load is where the fun is!

I'm a competitive shooter. People either follow along or they teach me. The manuals are great to give us a view of how things go but when it comes to the non-standards we strike out on our own. I can thank BHW for stretching my limits in that venue.
Each of these rifles have there own preferences and I have found that most seem to like as many as four different powders. Bullet weight/length is so important in performance that to blissfully swap loads is always an eduction.

Thanks. I missed out on the Wolf Ammo but snagged a couple of the Mags. I have a bunch ordered elsewhere but a few more will not hurt. I just ordered a few boxes from www.precisionfirearms.com/ they use Lapua brass with 123gr SST heads. Talked to them and they said they had all the components in stock and it should be two weeks to ship.

Just missed out on a "notify me" from Midway on some AA ammo. I was filling out a NAHC survey when the notification came in . 20 minutes too late.Hopefully this means that the ammo I ordered from AA is in the works.

Midway doesn't even send me notifications anymore when stuff is in stock, I signed up for notification when Tula primers are in stock, did I get one? Nope. I guess their alert list is so long that the stuff is gone before they even get all of the emails out...that's bad.
I signed up for notification on AIM Surplus like three months ago for some Wolf 6.5 Grendel 120 gr. and one day back in February, I'm sitting in a meeting w/ my iPad in front of me and all of the sudden "We have your product in stock." Sat there acting like I was working/listening and ordered half a case on the spot.
Now that I got reloading equipment and some Redding 6.5 Grendel dies (and a taper crimp die) along with .223, .45 ACP, and .40 S&W dies, a ton of brass, some Hornady .264 123 gr. AMAX and 100 gr. SP bullets, and FINALLY had some Hodgdon Varget delivered (I have a ton of small rifle and small rifle magnum primers...and small and large pistol, just no powder til yesterday). Doesn't matter, still waiting on my BHW barrel and AA bolt. Also got a type II bolt on order from CSS but they're damn ghosts, cannot get ahold of them and it's been a LONG time, I can't stand when companies show stuff in stock when it's not and they try to screw me when I cancel the order.
Oh and if you want reloading supplies or equipment, Grafs has stuff in stock every once in a while you just gotta be patient. Same with Midsouth Shooter's Supply. Recob's Target Shop (recobstargetshop.com) up in Wisconsin had a ton of primers and still has IMR powder, I got on there at 4 a.m. just to order primers and some Varget, it's bad. I ordered my reloading equipment from Titan Reloading (Lee), just a single stage press, that's all I really need. One more thing, ASC mags, DO NOT order them from ASC. I placed an order with them like 3 months ago...nothing at all.

The Ammo I ordered from PF came in last Friday so a 6 week turn around time for them. I have enough loaded for now. Now I have everything to reload but primers. I just missed by 2 seconds CCI450 from Nachees, i just happened to open- www.gunbot.net/reloading-supplies and they came up but when I opened the link they were out of stock already. I can't bring myself to pay the prices they want on Gunbroker. I already overpaid for the 8208XBR. The AA I ordered only half of them came in. I placed an order with Midway and they came in 4 days, so if they show them in stock you should get them quickly. The ones I ordered from Nachees came pretty quickly.
