I'm wondering how your black barrels are treated. Are they black oxide only where the exterior is blackened and the bore is left alone or are they nitride hardened including the bore? I'm getting conflicting information from your staff.

As far as I can tell on mine it is a straight black oxide done through a pickling process.
BHW does no meloniting or any other "hardening " process to their barrels. The bore does get some of the blackening but based on my 500 yard shooting matches with it it has zero effect on performance. rounds down the tube.
I'm not sure what the ultimate barrel life is on the BHW barrels as I have never seen one shot out yet. What chambering are you looking at?

An excellent choice for many uses and it will last a long long time in the accuracy department. I think it brings a lot to the table in the non-varmint levels and can dip in there too. Greg
