I've a 16" 5.56 BHW 1:8 twist barrel. So far I've shot only 55gr fmj, Winchester, Pmc bronze and even Tula was all pretty consistent, enough to make me happy anyway. I bought a 150 round box of American Eagle fmj 62gr green tip ( xm855 ). All just for punching holes in paper. I was expecting the heavier bullet to be even more consistent. Well lol I don't know if it was the heat and sweat in my eyes or what but I was all over the target at 50 yards with a red dot today. It could be that last time I shot I did a thorough barrel clean. I shot a few winchester 55gr after and it grouped pretty good again. So I guess I will just shoot up this 62 grain for fun targets and not get bent out of shape about the inconsistency. Just gotta learn what heavier bullets my barrel does like. I've got some heavier pdx1 but saving it for hunting and hd. I need to put some down range just to see what it does.

Plain and simple that ammunition is garbage for accuracy. It'll shoot the heavier QUALITY ammunition.

Thanks, first thing I noticed was the ammo was having trouble feeding at first. Never had that problem either. There was green on my lower feed ramps when I got home. Maybe it was scratching the bullet. I gotta look into that better. I may need to polish my feed ramps.
