I just got my 243 LBC barrel and need to start loading. I have Benchmark and Varget and was wondering if anyone could share any loads for a 85-90 grain bullet.
Thanks For Any Help,
Dirty Steve, Out.

With 85's Benchmark start at 27.0 work toward 28.0 or so
For Varget start at 28.0 and work toward 29.0 or so.
The quick way on this AND the 6X6.8 is to start with 6 PPC data and work up to low end 6 BR data. The case capacity is pretty much in the middle of the two.

Well I shot my 243 LBC for the first time today. I think the barrel has great possibilities. However, I strung all my groups vertically except for one which I slung horizontally. The photo on the left is 1.35" slung vertically.

Keep an eye out for some IMR 8208. I swear it was made for all wild cat AR 15 cartridges. Benchmark is a little on the fast side. You will be giving up 100-200 FPS because you will max out on pressure before you get the velocity. H4895 is another good powder. If you can find it in the short cut version it's even better ( easier to meter ) but both work equally well.

Thanks I will check on Monday for some H4895 SC at the feed store. Yes my feed store has powder and bullets. The guys that run it are actual shooters and stock some nice stuff.

Well I finally found a good load. I forgot to take a photo but it was a cluster of seven rounds touching. The load was 30 grains of PP 2000 MR and a 90 gr Nosler Ballistic Tip. I will post a photo next time I go to the range. I need to crono the loads.
