I am looking at building a light AR with a BH .264LBC barrel for deer hunting. I would like to use the steel Wolf stuff as cheaper range/plinking ammo, dose any one have any experience with it in a BH barrel?

Some report good results but others on the net say they aren't 100%. Personally it gives me chills contemplating shooting steel in it. I have a couple boxes of 556 steel that were given to me but haven't found anyone that I dislike enough to give it to.
There is cheap G. ammunition out there. Leave that steel on the shelf.

Greg ditto greg match grade barrel cheap steel cased ammo You can shoot it if you want to but if that is all you want why not buy a 100 dollar barrel and pick up 200 dollars worth of steel cased ammo and plink away and most of the steel cased ammo is fmj not legal for hunting anywhere I know of

Thanks for the replies, I do not intend on using it for hunting but as a cheaper option to the PPU stuff for plinking. I guess I'll just stick with my 5.56 guns for that and hunt with the 6.5.
