My new 20 LBC finally arrived early last week but fighting the flu has kept me out of the creative loop. Ritch built this one up for me. It has a billet upper from NFA with some design work done by Ritch and NFA together. This will be my 2nd 20 LBC but this one is the full 24" working gun for PD's. My very first one was my introduction to Black Hole barrels. I learned a great on that one. Velocities will runabout 150 FPS above the 204/20P/20T. BTE gas block and a Smith tube.
Brass making is a bit labor intensive as you are taking that 264 down to 204. Lots of steps and necks do get thick. I already have 200 pieces of neck turned brass ready to go. I will be shooting the 32 and 39 Sierras and the 35 Bergers with a smattering of the 55's to see how they run. In my other 20 caliber non-BHW barrels I DANZAC coated bullets but on these I can run them plain with no coating. As smooth as these bores are I just don't see any copper fouling. even up in the 4500 FPS range in another 20 caliber I shoot.
I have been remiss. This finally arrived early last week but fighting the flu has kept me out of the creative loop. Ritch built this one up for me. I'll post up some targets in the next few weeks. It should be very interesting.
