For you guys that shot both on varmints what one do you think does more damage. Mostly marmots, coyotes, Jacks, not saving fur on yotes. I know it depends on what the barrel likes but if I have a choice......... 6x6.8 cartridge

Have haven't shot the 87 grain vmax but got great results out of the 87 g bthp. They shot 2950 with my 22" 6x6.8. Don't know how they work on coyotes or anything haven't shot any yet.

I haven't shot the VMAX in the 6X6.8. I've concentrated on the BTHP. For coyotes I'd go with the VMAX. I know the BTHP were more accurate in my 6X45's.

I shoot the 87 vmax at 2990 fps, 22" 243lbc. Laser accurate, have shot several coyotes with them this year. 4 exited, but not terrible holes. 2 did not exit. None moved after the shot, and I have no plans on changing.

Thanks, will try the vmax out. Still need to get the barrel and dies so it'll be a while.
