Is the handguard carbon fiber. That's a good looking rig.

Thanks
The handguard, the pistol grip and the buttstock are all carbon fiber.
The lower is V Seven which weighs in at 6.8 oz. I saved weight where I could so I could have the 22" standard profile barrel. It weighs and handles very much like a typical deer rifle...well, as much as an AR15 can.

Sounds like a slick set up. How does it shoot?

I shoot off of the tailgate of my truck at my buddy's farm and the weather here in NY has not been cooperative enough for me to get my truck out in the pasture.
So far I just shot it to look for signs of pressure and feeding reliability...both which need some work on my part.
I do have high hopes though from what the target looked like from just bore sighting.

I finally worked out a load that was both accurate enough for me and suitable for whitetail. 90 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip over 28.6 grains of IMR 8208 XBR, CCI BR4. 2900 fps. The group measures .630 inches at 100 yds.

That will certainly do the trick. The bullet choice is perfect for your needs.
