. My point is simply that it would make things smoother to have some kind of communication with Marty. Even if he does offer it up at SHOT, could it really hurt anything to contact him and consult him about it?
Maybe we ALL ought to not worry so much about what Marty and Carl do? You think they can work it out without a bunch of jumping Chihuahuas hounding them?
I've had people "stand up for me" in the past without my asking and it did not turn out well for those doing that. I'll fight my own battles. Sound familiar?

We could argue this for years, but it seems to me that Carl and Marty will never "work things out" together if they never have contact. It does seem to be the courteous route to at least discuss it wth him, he might save some significant trial and error time. Maybe the contracts barring the reamer makers protected Marty's product, maybe they help protect the consumer from bad chambers. Surely enough trial and error can get you to the goal line eventually, but one of my favorite cliches applies: "Hard heads take the past of least assistance." I'm sorry to say that this thread is seriously souring my opinion of some of the more prominent members here.
There are things that go on behind the scenes that even I am unaware of. Due to our contractual obligations to our companies, there is some information that I cannot disclose because of NDA agreements.
Due to lack of information on all parties involved (including myself) I am locking this topic until I can get a direct response from Carl on the matter. This could be as late as next week, as he and Andy are attending Shot Show at this very moment. I would rather not allow this thread to continue further without factual information presented.
