I just placed an order for my 6x45 1:9 twist 20" standard profile .750 machined target crown barrel. Now to get my dies and other assorted goodies. 4-8 weeks wait. Time will go by sooooooooooo slow now.

Great choice! From all the dies I have redding are the best. With the carbide button there is no need to lube the necks.

If you are going to use Redding Dies and Hornady Vmax bullets you will need to call Redding and have them send you a # 23 seating stem. It is a N/C item. The stem that comes with the dies is not set up for the short bullets. You will run out of adjustment before you get to maximum magazine length. When I called them and told them about the problem, I was told they would ship me a new stem right away. I received it 3 days later. Great customer service.
The Hornady dies are good also and the expander ball is really tapered. Opening up the case the first time is a breeze with them. Bottom line this cartridge is easy to work with, and easy to make shoot

Good call on the seater. I've been using Hornady seaters so have not hit that wall.......yet.

Yes good call. I forgot about that. I think the guy at the local store put them in for me but not sure. The kit came with both measures.

I didn't know about this . I have not started reloading 6x45 yet so I have not try my RCBS dies. Do you know if RCBS dies have the same issue? It is so good when knowledgeable people warn you about potential problems before you even start having to deal with those problems. Thanks.

I can't answer about RCBS dies, I don't use them. I have not heard of any problems though

It is not a problem. It is an variable, something that gives you alternatives depending what you are doing, like many wildcatters do. It is simply the way that system is designed. If you have RCBS already just reloading with them. I also have RCBS but have not used those with all bullets possible but I am not aware of any "issues"(variants) with them. The reason I mentioned redding is because the carbide button doesn't need lubing of the neck and the cases seem to love it. Other than that both produce the same brass dimensions.

Everything is ordered!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aero Precision upper receiver, RRA BCG, Anderson lower from AR15 Armory group buy, RRA NM lower kit, Hogue free float tube, and a YHM low profile gas block. And of course, the BHW 20" barrel. I also decided to go with the RCBS AR series dies for the 6x45 cases.
