Hi Folks, I'm building my first lbc/grendel and have definitely settled on all parts I plan on using except for the barrel length. Definitely will be a bull barrel, target crown , but can't decide if I want a 20" or 24" barrel. Weight isn't really that much of an issue as it's gonna be dam heavy either way, but not sure if I really need the extra 4", even though I know I might get a bump in speed. Another thing, I won't be reloading any time in forseeable future, just factory horndady/wolf ammo and likely won't be doing much shooting over 500-600 yards but want the best accuracy possible within those ranges. Also , I'm guessing that I can call Les Baer and get one of their bolts and it should headspace fine with the BHW bull barrels ?
rest of specs already have and built are Saber Tactical Billet lower Mega Arms Billet Side charging upper Young NM bolt carrier Timney 3lb single stage trigger Midwest Industries Gen2 15" SS handguards (can't wait to see them in person) Magpul PRS stock

I'd squeeze it for all it's worth and that means 24" to me. The weight is not that horrendous from my experience with these AR's. Nothing like my 70 Remington with the 1 1/4 tube on it!! LOL
My 24" guns are running at about 11.4 with a scope and bipod and that is not too much even for me.
Welcome to the fun and games of the BHW world.
