Got the 6.8 SPC II together (see top AR in pic)... I was amazed how easily the upper parts mated together. Fit/Finish of the barrel was top-notch and it fit very well with the Vltor upper; this was definitely one of my easiest assemblies. I can't wait to get this thing broken in and see how it groups with the various ammo brands that I purchased. Overall length was about the same as my 12" LMT Gas MRP with the Trek suppressor. After some nice groups, I started having multiple stoppages. Out of 40 rounds I probably had 8 different stoppages. I called BHW and spoke with Andy who helped me tremendously with trouble-shooting the issue down to the extractor that was not quite up to spec. I finally got my bolt back from another vendor and will be heading out to the range soon.
I was very impressed with the customer-centric response and professionalism from BHW. I am a huge believer in quality and part of quality is customer service. I can't wait to get back out on the range to retest this build... Thanks again BHW!!!!

Just returned from my friend's ranch in Junction, TX and the build ran flawlessly with holes touching at 100 yards using Corbon HPs... I am very pleased with the build and a big thanks to BHW on identifying the extractor issue and going above the call of duty to make a customer extremely satisfied. BHW ROCKS!!!!
While I was at comp-tac's ranch, I finished another BHW 556 mid-barrel build using a Seekins billet lower/upper. I can't wait to get glass in place and run this bad-boy in 3-gun race...

Awesome! I am also in the process of building a 6.8 but I still have not made up my mind on a barrel. I saw floatpilots post over on another forum and came here to check out these barrels. Liking what Im seeing so far!

I am looking at building a 6.8 SPC gun to shoot hogs in Texas. I am thinking of using a BHW 16 inch barrel with mid length gas . I am looking for suggestions for other compoeints of the rifle. I am new to ARs and there is a lot of information here to digest. I would like to hear suggestions.

I have a rookie question. What do I have to chane to convert an 556 AR to 6.8? All you need is a bolt and 6.8 magazines. And your in business
