I have used PRI and JP, as well as Kies. All work well. Just remember to us some RTV high temp silicone on the adjustment screw to keep it from backing out.

Did you need any RTV? I am waiting on mine to show.

Did you need any RTV? I am waiting on mine to show. Pep Boys or Auto Zone have all the RTV you need. I got some for water pumps and it was very cheap and works like a dream. I think it is blue. I think it cost about $3.25. Greg

Never heard of anyone useing RTV, but i am sure it works, we use blue locktite. It adds just a slight amount of friction without making it excessively hard to adjust. JP Enterprises even suggests it. Guess how I found out? It took two weeks to get the new adjusting screw from them. Thank goodness for ACE Hardware!! Greg

I like the PRI adjustable block better than JP, it has more bearing surface for the set screw and held to a tighter tolerance. I don't even lock tite mine and it hasn't moved after a year of hard use.

Well I recieved my gas block. They are nicely finished. Locktite was the tip I was looking for, I feel more comfortable putting a bit of that in place before it goes on, than RTV. I dont think the RTV will cause a problem, but I think the locktite is a better method.
Thanks J

now i would have felt pretty silly with a big band of copper RTV around the gas block.
