now i would have felt pretty silly with a big band of copper RTV around the gas block. I'm sure no one in this crowd would have said a word about it. They might quietly start backing away from you but would never bring it up in conversation. Greg

Any of you guys ever mess around with one of those Syrac style adjustable gas blocks? I was thinking about a PRI adjustable but was concerned that the adjustment screw might not line up well enough to get to under a MI free float handguard. Looks like theres no real need for loctite with a syrac too. They sure are proud of em though.

Looks like theres no real need for loctite with a syrac too. They sure are proud of em though. I have a PRI adjstable gas block on my LR308 custom build I did with mid length gas system. I put a rifle length DPMS quad rail on it and it doesn't line up with the adjustment nut. I just had to take it off and adjust it to where I wanted it, then lock tite'd it down good and it hasn't budged or lost it's gas setting, although it was kind of a pain having to take it off just to adjust it...
