We headed out last weekend on our yearly Rock chuck hunt. The "boy" typically uses an AR-15 in 223, but it was having a few issues this year so he gladly took my 243 LBC, maybe for good. This is the first Rock Chuck for him this year and the first for the gun. He whacked him at about 150 yards and shot several more on the trip. He even let me shoot a few. The gun was built by Ritch on a POF upper with none other than a Black Hole Barrel with the following components. Winchester 7.62X39 Brass (had to try it) 58grain Vmaxes 8208 Powder While the 7.62 brass works it has several grains less case capacity than using the 6.5 Grendel Brass. I ran it through a 6.5 grendel die than the 6 mm die and then fire formed. I tried to load the same load that Ritch and Kerry are shooting but had some serious problems when the same amount of powder overflowed the case. I backed it down 2-3 grains and all is well. It was a good trip and the 243 LBC performed flawless only now I need another one.
