I can't wait for mine to get here. I am planning on breaking it in then trying to find a hog or coyote hunt close by. I haven't ever hunted and have had the itch for a couple of years now.
What are your plans for your 6x6.8?

What are your plans for your 6x6.8? Well the 500 yard matches are using up some barrel lief and I'm going to use it on PD's later next month. A 58 grain bullet at 3500 + will be adequate for the job IMHO. The 75's at 3330 without trying are VERY impressive. Greg PS: I may well build a 18" one for IPSC 3 Gun to replace my 6X45 but I am still debating it or the full 6.8. I have access to some matches that are out to 750 so I will have to give that some thought. I do know a 243 LBC would be a hot ticket also.

Mine will be for long(er) range coyote hunts and small varmints, or anything over 300 yards.

I'm waiting too. I have two 18 inch ones on order, one for me and one for SwampFox JR. We plan to use them on coyotes, if we ever actually get into the woods to try. We have been doing a lot of thinking and talking about it, but thats about as far as we have gotten. I wanted 16 inch light weight mid length, but 18 Std (HEAVY) will have to work for now. I hope the 16's are offered later, I like a short, light gun for hunting.
