Got my BHW SS 16inch carbine barrel today. This is my first Poly barrel. Can't wait to try it out.But I have a way to go on the build yet.It is from SA&A.I was wondering if someone could help me decide if I should get an adjustable gas block or not.I will be hand loading all my ammo.Would it be worth the money?Should I free float it?I have not owned a rifle of this type for a lot of years. The last one was an Army issued M16A1.But really they are not much different.Well thanks for any help you may have on this subject.Oh almost forgot this is one sweet barrel.I think it will for sure out shoot the old M16A1.

Welcome to the BHW family!! Congratulations. In reality you probably don't NEED the adjustable block but I have found I have become addicted to them and am putting them on all my builds now. They give you a bit more flexibility on your handloading. It sure beats playing ring around the rosy with the circus of buffers and springs!! All but two of my AR's are free floated and I have more than two, and I think that for the top accuracy, actually I know for the top accuracy, it is the only game in town. I would buy the KIES block from Joe Bob Outfitters for about $40.00. I would buy a FF tube from Young Manufacturing as the three piece design is a very nice addition to the standard set ups. Look at the pics on my recent rifles and you will see the YM tubes on all of them. Greg
