I have noticed that they offer a larger variety of chambers from BHW. What is the difference from them vs direct from BHW?

The BHW web site has had issues for a bit of time and does not show the wildcat stuff that they can really offer. If you want it call BHW direct. Also BHW will let you do special custom mix and match turnings and flutings that TA cannot. Greg

Are the prices the same on the 6x68 stuff. I'd like an 18" rifle gased crown muzzle

I can say that if you go to an 18" tube you are wasting powder and don't gain much at all in the usage department. It really takes 22" MINIMUM to wring the 6X6.8 out. Otherwise a 6X45 is the way to go on the 18" guns IMHO. We have the numbers to prove it on the shorties. Greg

That hurts my plans. I am looking to build a hunting rifle for white tail. I thought on the 243 LBC but was told it needed a long tube. Was told the 6x68 works good in 18"

At 18 inches you will be loosing at least 50 FPS per inch. I would go at least 20 inches as a minimum, preferably 22 inches.
