O.K. a bit of a rant. I used to conduct a lot of training, and attend quite a few shooting courses for my profession. Through the years I've tried out most of the major ammunition companies. There are a few out there that will give you a flat rate up front, and one or two that include the shipping costs. One of the more interesting is www.ammoman.com his prices for shipping are included. At first glance the price per unit seems high, but when you figure in the shipping, it's pretty reasonable. Same with SGAmmo www.sgammo.com you get a flat rate quote on the ammo before even getting into the checkout/cart. Now...I will not name the company....but it's one of the larger surplus dealers. This particular company runs lots of great specials...and with these specials, raises shipping and handling costs substantially. Several online ammunition retailers do this, and it's really very, very frustrating. This particular dealer has a special going on now, so I filled out the order form for 3000rds of surplus 5.45x 39. Average shipping cost per case from the reputable dealers is about $28 flat rate per case/order. Well, during check out, I see $137.00 added to the price...equaling 1/3rd the total purchase price. Nice scam...put the product on sale, and double the shipping/handling cost on said item! Word to the wise...when finishing up your purchase, take a good hard look at the shipping/handling costs before clicking on "confirm" These shipping/handling costs are getting to be a very popular scam amongst some of the larger/less reputable volume ammo dealers.

This sounds like a good argument to buy a progressive loader.

This sounds like a good argument to buy a progressive loader. When I'm back in the states, I think a Dillon 550 is in my future!!! Absolutely!!!!
