I have already seen various examples of Cheaper than Dirt price gouging ammo and 30 round mags. But this is just crazy. www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/GUN-90391I bought a Bushmaster ORC .223 from bass pro last spring for 800 bucks. To think that someone will purchase the same baseline rifle for 2500 dollars is mind blowing. This is especially depressing because Cheaper than Dirt is a Texas company that is located near my hometown. Shameful...

We all understand paying that extra buck for your local guy that runs a small gun shop and when demand is high things go up,but CTD is just plain scalping the gun market. I can't imagine they are hurting for cash to keep the lights on. Hope they remember that when things calm down....What they are doing now will not be forgotten.

They did it four years ago yet many went back later and bought from them. I didn't. Greg

A lot of people always will, but IMO they are just the panic/fear driven..who think they are shooters..but just when its popular to do so. I wont forget what CTD has been up too lately.

I think its sad, just look at the mags there and everywhere else. $50 for a 30 round mag really, when it costs about $2 to make. I remeber this scenario four years ago and we just about to get a calm then bang right back in the scenario. Kind of stinks but make me value what I have even more.

My peeves with CTD currently center more on how they manage their website now. I have to do their product management by placing orders from their specific warehouses or get hit with 4 shipping fees for 4 products. The exact same product varies in price from warehouse to warehouse. And there stupid search engine returns a separate hit for each warehouse.
I had recently, as in 5 months ago or so, planned on placing an order for about $50 worth of products. I didn't pay much attention until I started to get ready to check out and noticed over $40 for shipping when I expected maybe $10. Went back to the items and found the silly warehouse codes and such. Then abandoned the order.

Same thing; good prices on items and then the shipping costs add up to almost the price of the items. Not planning to purchase from these folks again....
