I am in the process of building my first AR, and I am strongly considering purchasing one from here. I have a question regarding throat dimensions. I have seen posts on other forums where people have received BHW barrels in .223 Wylde and also 5.56, but have not seen any mention of the Wylde chambering here, only a mention in another thread that the BHW throats are "tight for .556). Can someone enlighten me on this? Is .223 Wylde available, and are the 5.6 chambers the std NATO spec? Thanks.

I am curious about this too. From what I have been reading, some guys are not getting better than 1 moa accuracy out of .556 barrels, but they are getting good out results out of Wylde machined barrels. I am about ready to order a barrel, but I want to be sure I can get 1 minute accuracy. Will have to do some more research I guess.

They will do under an MOA all day long with good ammo. You can research it by reading reports from unknown quantity shooters but I believe the guys here show off the quality of the barrels daily. The real research comes when you set down at the bench and give it a try. My first BHW barrel in 556 did three back to back five shot sub-inch groups with the first 15 rounds I put through it. It was a load I just picked out of a book that was midrange in the powder area. Remember some guys couldn't get an MOA out of any gun period. It is not like falling off a log. The guns won't drive themselves. Ammo, gun and shooter are a tripod. Not all three legged stools set level. Greg

Greg- this is about the simplest way I've ever heard it put. Makes much sense.
