How far of a shot was it with the handgun? Took a doe with my .44mag at 20 yards (open sites) a couple of years ago. Will be trying that again!

I have a ground blind set up where I hunt and know the yardage to a bunch of trees near the shooting lanes I have. He stepped past a 50 yard tree I grunted and he stopped, I was watching him from 100 yards out, and he dropped about 20 yards from the shot. I set 50 yards as my limit. I practice at 100 and do pretty well there but when buck fever hits I like to keep the shots a bit closer. He was 145 dressed.I have a few other pics of him here: www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/5853726/First_deer_with_handgun_in_CT#Post5853726
