I'm starting in on 11 weeks on a 6x6.8 barrel. Just wondering how much longer I'm gonna have to wait to get this thing finished up.... Waiting really sucks.... I've got almost everything I need, it's all on order, just waiting for a couple of things to show up any day now.

Don't feel bad, tomorrow will be 14 weeks that I have been waiting for a 24" 264 LBC barrel. I have called 4 times and keep getting told that they are having a meeting with the production manager and they will call me back. That has been going on for two weeks. Not very good customer service. I have every thing I need for my build except the barrel!!!!!

Waiting does suck. With the world the way it is we all wait. I wait on barrels just like the next guy. The key is having one or two in the safe to divert the anxiety while you wait!! ;D

Well, looks like I'll just have to keep shooting the 204 and the 223 until it shows up. Was hoping to get it dialed in and shoot a few dogs this spring with it.
I ordered a 24" 6x6.8 bull barrel, black finish with fluting, so it will probably be a bit yet. I guess the good part is I'll be able to have everything ready to go as soon as it shows up.
I was thinking I would do some reloading, but I think I'll wait till the barrel is installed to make sure that I get everything setup correctly so it will chamber a round without issue.

If you make the brass up and don't bump the shoulders you won't have any problems loading in advance. I've done this with a 17/223, 20 Practical, 6X45, 243 LBC and a 6X6.8 without a bit of trouble Greg

Well crap. Now that I have the cash for the scope, the $279 Viper Vortex at cameraland is gone..... Does anyone know how often they have them at that price? So, do I wait for it to come back (who knows how long that will be) or do I get something else. I'd like to stay with at least 14+ on the magnification and preferably SF instead of the adjustable obj. Any thoughts?
Barrel should be finished in a week or two. Still waiting on brass (may just buy a box of loaded ammo to hold me over), who knows how long that will be.

Of course a call to them MIGHT yield one on the back shelf........just sayin' Greg

I noticed that on snipers hide I think they post what they have currently in stock. (3/19) They may also have some display scopes or scratch & dent as well.

Well, I got some brass and went to do some resizing when I realized that I bought the wrong 6mm decapping assembly (wasn't the type S and they have totally different threads). I did punch the primers and clean the pockets so all I have to do when the decapping assembly shows up is do the resizing.
I did pick up a Vortex Viper Scope (pretty nice scope, I'm very happy with it anyway), it was a little more than I wanted to pay, but still less than retail. Picked up a few other accessories for the scope as well, sunshade and bubble level. Burris Pepr should be here today.
Still waiting on the barrell. Hopefully I'll get a notice pretty soon that it has shipped.

I'm shooting four of them at 500 yards and they are excellent. Greg

Just got around to test running mine today, got to say I'm not near as impressed with some of the posted targets I've seen now with this round as this thing is a friging laser, I'd say it improved my shooting 500%

either my 2 .223's have junk barrels or this round was just flat out amazing for me. It still didn't put me in the same catagory as some of the posted targets but golf balls are no long safe from me

I'm pretty impressed with it so far. Can't wait to get everything mounted up and assembled. I'll eventually put a different stock on it (thinking Magpul PRS), but the standard 6 pos will have to work for now.

I'm planning on loading the 58gr Zmax's and some 87gr's either VLD's or something similar for longer range. Maybe I'll get lucky and draw an antelope tag this year that I can try this out on.
