You will need a 22PPC decapping assembly. You can order that direct from Redding, or Sinclair. For powder I have used H4895, CFE223, and I am going to try some RL15 www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item.asp?sku=0007677259

What are you using for bullet seating? Will a 22 PPC seating die work?
Thanks

AR15performance claims that 22x6.8 BH will not do as heavy a bullet as they will offer. I was hoping to try 75gr. Amax as longest bullet in PRI mags and modify if necessary. Any one know longest bullet this will shoot? I watched development and they fired 75gr Amax or was that only single load .

Any one know longest bullet this will shoot? I watched development and they fired 75gr Amax or was that only single load . We shoot the AMAX in a windowed magzine. We shoot the 75 Hornady match bullet at magazine lenght. We shoot 77 grain Noler CC's at magazine length of 2.300. ARP is cutting his necks back to do that. We could do the same thing in our chambers and not notice any issues. It is common to shoot short necked converted cases in many guns. As in 7.62X39 made into 6 PPC. I'm not overly concerned with his opinions on the BHW cartidges as we control all aspects of the process and he merely is a middle man salesman. We do not design chambers around a single bullet. Therein lies madness. These barrels shoot consistent sub-0.5 MOA groups the others out there aren't even close in consistent performance. We don't cherry pick groups. Greg

Thanks for your detailed reply. I read about using short necks on bottle necked cartridges, hornady does that I think with flex tipped cartridges. As long as good head space on shoulder. Interesting comment on designing one cartridge for one bullet. I just wanted to have 75-77gr. Bullets to use on occasion for long shot. Thanks for info on accuracy. By the way on my build I ordered National Match quality barrel for a bit more and in 24" with 1:8 twist. I look forward to trying it out. Thanks.

NM for us is a profile. My 22X6.8's are all bull barrels as I like truck axles. Ritch shoots more standrd weight. Accurcy is the same but I'm stuck in my ways and am SLOWLY going to stadard weights..LOL I do have a 6X45 NM barrel set up from BHW set up in a left handed railed upper. It does VERY well at 500 yards and an 87 grain Hornady match bullet. Greg

What is weight difference between National Match and standard and semi bull.? I was debating between standard and and something closer to varmint weight in bolt action. Since I will be caring it some I don't want semi bull or bull barrel. Since it has a .750 gas I was hoping it was one step up from standard weight but not too heavy. How easy it would be to weigh barrels on a scale and include that with each barrel description. I buy barrels from parties on eBay over another simply because they give the weight. Other customers 10-20 percent consider weight a very important consideration. Add sales to BH weaponry if you did. I buy from AR15performance because he gives weight, bison gives weight bought one from them too, liked the weight.

The folowing weights on a 24" 22X6.8 from my notes: Standard 3.2 Semi Bull 3.6 NM (estimated) 4.0 Bull 4.5 The standard would serve you well if you are concerned about weight. It also has a 750 GB. It's not that hard to ask for a weight here. You just did. I don't buy a barrel just becasue I can see what it weighs. I buy a barrel for quality and performance thne go find a weight that fits. Barrel profiles were changed several months ago and JP has generated a partial chart that should be up any time. Greg
