Howdy Folks!!... Just a quickie...I'm changing out the trigger guard on my firearm, and need to know what brand of rolling pin punches does anyone recommend? Also, the same for starter punches...
Thank you for the input Fast Freddie

Grace USA makes a good set. I ordered a set off of amazon (prime shipping available), and they have performed well on 4 lower builds. I think the company is geared more toward gun smithing tools. Think they were around 38.00 bucks on amazon. I would buy them again.

I'm late to reply, but you can find LOTS of useful tools including punch sets from the Harbor Freight web site. Even better if there's a store close enough to get to as they usually have a nice Deluxe set of punches and chisels with a case to store them in for around $25 if my memory is correct. I've gotten just about every non-AR specific tool for my build from there including a nice vice, I'm fortunate to have one not even two minutes from me.
Hope this helps someone...

I'll tell you what, if someone is wanting to build ARs and is looking to get a vice, get one that you can turn the jaws so you have a good hold on the upper and are able to turn the barrel straight up. It makes getting the barrel nut on tight and lined up really east. Harbor freight has one there that is big enough as well. I have an old vise that does this but I was thinking about getting another for my gun room.
