Check out the fluting! And also important to me was the reduction in weight. 31.6 oz for an 18" barrel! Received the barrel back from WMD Guns after QPQ melonite. Now comes the cleaning, cleaning, cleaning of the bore...

I'm really interested in how it shoots. I also would like to know how it is on copper fouling and what if any velocity/pressure problems you may encounter. The treatment is certianly radical to use on a stainless poly barrel so we will all be watching it closely. Since many have standard 18" BHW barrels for a comparison this will be intersting. Get some baseline numbers with something like Winchester White Box 55 grainers.
Greg
PS: Congratulations on a very sharp looking barrel.

Any updates on this?
I really like the look of that pattern.

Have too many projects lately. I still haven't assembled this one, but I will definitely update everyone when I do.

Its a light profile with a rifle length gas port.

Its a light profile with a rifle length gas port. I would imagine that the surface area has been increased by a tremendous amount, and cooling should be increased, but what about rigidity? I don't see it weakening it, since the design is a strong shape.
