Finally finished my new 5.56 upper. 24", 1 in 8 twist, full bull profile, target crown BHW barrel in machine finish. I mounted the barrel in a DPMS slick side upper receiver with a Midwest Industries 15" handguard, both of which I had Cerakoted red. Yes, don't try to adjust your picture, it is red. The rifle is plenty heavy. I wouldn't want to pack her very far. I also just finished breaking in the barrel...lots of scrubbing intermixed with a few shots. The break in loads were running about 1" for 5 shots. I will soon start serious load work ups using IMR-4064 and Varget which I have on hand with Hornady 75gr BTSP bullets. Currently I have a Leupold 3-9 scope on her, but I have a 6-24 scope ordered. The lower now has a BTE trigger and I'm liking it so far. Pretty good feel to it. I wish I was a better photographer.

Very nice. It will serve you well. The BTE unit is great. AS a matter of fact I juts got two more installed fifteen minutes ago. George gets all my business if he makes the parts from triggers to forearms.
BTW red is cool.....LOL
