Hello everyone! This will be the first forum that I've actively participated in. Been a long time creeper on various boards, but never took the time to chip in. I have some experience with long range shooting in the military (out now), and still enjoy shooting long range competition today. I look forward to finding answers on this forum and also submitting my knowledge and experiences to anyone that I can help out!

Howdy from Texas. I have long range shooting aspirations. Which competitions do you participate in?

I shoot local matches around boise when I get a chance. The last real good one I got to go to was this past spring for the snipers hide cup that they did in Colorado. Great comp! My work has me out of town most of the year, so I'm a bit of an opportunist with my match shooting. I am looking to get into a few PRS matches this next year if possible. What kind of rig are you shooting?

No true long range at the moment. I got a 6x45 ar barrel for 400 to 600 yards. I think it will reach out there. That is about max what I can shoot in the Houston area unless I get into a private club. I need to put it together after I get a forearm. I'm tempted to put together what I got and go shoot it.
