So I snagged a bunch of this up in the great depression to feed my 300wsm. I have not yet loaded it, as I've been patiently waiting on parts and gunsmith work to get finished for my build. However, since it seems to be one of the newer additions to Alliant's powder line up, I have been unable to find a whole lot of load data for this cartridge paired with bullets in the 190-210gn realm. Anybody got anything for this? Any if you have been using Reloader 17 for other cartridges, what are you using it on, and what kind of results are you getting? BTW, I did develop an accuracy load for my m700 AAC in 308. 47.5gns under a 175gn SMK was yeilding consistent .5moa groups. Who's next?!

That ought to work. I haven't shot real heavies in my 300WM and have used IMR 4350 for most of my fun time. I'll look around for some data.

A word of caution about Alliant's online reloading data...make sure you double check the primer type they reference, dont assume they used magnum primers in large volume cases. I am about to try some RL17 and 22 under 178grn Horn BTHPs in a .30 wildcat that has a case capacity of 72grns H2O and will let you know how it does.

I'm using ~38gr on 17 in the 22-250 pushing a 60gr partition to 3440 fps. Also using it in a 6.5 Creedmoor, 123gr AMAX @ 2900 fps. These loads were developed using component measurements, chorono data, QuickLoad and the OBT theory, and should not be copied without working up. I get a 1 fps +/- with each degree change in the 22-250 with the R17. Haven't been able to test it in the 6.5 yet. 6.5 @ 200 yards: 5 shots in the target on the left:
