I have a question about buffers and springs! I just put a utg a2 buttstock on my 6x6.8 my wife got it for me off amazon. It says its for a 308 - 7.62 ar 10 but it fit fine. I read some reviews and some said it worked fine on ar 15s. It does have a longer buffer and stiffer spring than my 6 positon stock . Is there a difference in them or is it just that way because the a2 has a longer buffer tube? I have adjustable gas block.

Buffers on a standard stock are longer as are the springs. Go ahead and shoot it. You'll probably do fine. I should standard buffers etc. in everything from 17-223 to 25 WSSM on the same lower. I don't subscribe to swapping various buffers to get a rifle to run. If ut has enough gas you are GTG and with an adjustable block you greatly expand your possible powders.
