I am interested in this caliber as well. The ballistics with a 80 or 90 gr bullet is making me want one. Where might you get a barrel for this caliber??
thanks

But it will take some e-mail as they are not a normal offering. I believe they have a reamer but it is not a big seller. Be aware that if you go with the fastest twist, 1:7, that the rifle is capable of over rotating some light varmint bullets and they never make the target. I have done that with 50 VMAX in its sister the 22X6.8 with a 1:8. I believe the Noslers would solve this problem but have not tested it yet. A fellow, IMHO, would be better served with a 22X6.8 if you want to shoot those big bullets fast. It is a hammer and is a no turn neck. I am not sure of the 22 LBC. Perhaps Ritch will chime in with his experince/knowledge on this one. Greg

Greg, Will have to research the 22x6.8 (Here I go again $$). As I know nothing about the 6.8. Lighter bullet; what's that??? I like the heavier bullets myself. Don't hunt much anymore, just shoot comps and like the BC's of the heavier offerings. I'll stand by and hope Rich give some input. Thank you

Who called Carey and they compared notes too. The 22 LBC is a non-turn neck so that is good. Loading dat is somewhere between the 22 PPC and the 22 PDK. A happy medium in there as the PPC is smaller and the PDK is loaded to firewall level. Case capacity is only marginally higher with the PDK but not enough to matter over the 22 LBC. Greg

It's in the que for more testing7but for any uses I have the 6.8 version will probably be a better choice. I don't need to launch 90's. The 80's are plenty. Greg

I have a Grendel and 6mm grengel. All I'd need to form brass would be a bushing. I've read that it's super accurate with the heavy 224 bullets. I like lapua brass better than 6.8 brass. I'd probably use heavy sierra OTM bullets.

I've read very little about it done up in other barrels with any documentation. There were quite a few guys shooting it when Carl introduced it several years ago and the they were pleased but most drifted back to the 243 LBC. Who made your barrels? Greg

Maybe I should just stick with the 6mm. Its a Krieger and half moa easy. It shoots the 105 Amax into bughole groups.

I think the 6 is a better all around choice although those 50's at 3750 are hell on PD's but you can do the same thing with a 6 MM< and a 58. Greg
