Howdy all Now that I have found this forum, I have a question that I've been wondering about for awhile. and feel like this is the best place to ask. If polygonal rifling is better ( & I believe it is ) why don't more companies do it? is it more time consuming and costly to do? I don't know why others aren't doing it this way, But glad BHW does and glad I discovered them after learning about polygonal rifling a few months ago.

Data generated in all the Enfield barrels while close is not the same for another. The second would really cause major revamps in numbers if they wanted full benefit of the concept. Mouse traps are mouse traps. Many view new ones with derision and skepticism. Others recognize the advantages and try to emulate and copy PART of the better mouse trap. The "polygonal rifling" that others throw about is nothing more than standard rifling with the edges rounded off and or laid over at an angle with the top of the lands rounded. Glad you are here with the latest in cutting edge technology for modern rifles. No Escape. Greg

thanks for clearing that up. I 1st liked it because it was different ( same reason I ended up with a side charging upper) It's kinda been a blessing that I have to wait and save up money for the next part, gives me lots of time to do research and read all I can find so by the time I have the money I hopefully have done my homework and know what to get. and now my patience is paying off as I feel like I have a better rifle than I should given my budget. and for my 1st. time building I have done really good and far better than I was expecting when I started this build back in November. Complete Black Rain Lower with a Crosshill Technology side charging upper, with NiB Bolt. And it now looks like I will be calling BHW tomorrow to see what barrels they have in stock! and if they have one, I am finally ready to buy! My only mistake so far was buying a gas block off ebay, it sounds well made, but what I thought was made in Utah, came in a box that said made in china, and I refuse to use it and didn't even return it so it could end up on another AR. I am replacing it with a BTE adjustable gas block that I have learned about off this forum......after I can hopefully buy a BHW barrel tomorrow Yippee i can't wait to call thanks for replying
