Has anyone tried any of the all-copper options from Maker Bullets? I stumbled into an ad for them a few days ago and had never heard of them before. At least in concept, they appear to have some interesting options, especially a few that might play well with the AM30 for those who are restricted to unleaded bullets. They have 3 pages of options just in .308 cal projectiles, ( www.makerbullets.com/products.php?cat=3&scri=8 ) from appearance only, it looks like a few of the lighter ones may be a good balance of projectile weight (assuming the nearly-100% weight retention claim) and potential velocity without completely filling the case on intermediate calibers like the AM30. I have an e-mail into them requesting some specific specs but no reply yet. I just hit day #172 in my barrel wait and just got a ship confirmation so I should be able to play soon, just wondered if any had been down this road yet.

Those really do look like a great option. Going to have to order a box and see how they shoot. Thanks for the heads up!!

Very welcome, they haven't been great at getting back with me so I don't know much more about them yet.

I sent them email a long time ago requesting some basic specs in an effort to determine their compatibility with the AM30 and also the 6.5x6.8Spc. I never heard a word back so I never ordered either. I like the concept of some of the bullets and may give them another look when I finish up some of the load development projects I've been working on now.

I see that they have a 124 grain bullet for the 7.62x39. Intriguing. Good selection for the 300BO. I'll call them when I have time....which might be around June!!
