Would there be any advantage of using a Semi Bull Barrel? Are you trading some more weight for some accuracy? I tried to do some searching but my Google-Fu was failing me.
As I'm building something to shoot both 3 Gun & Practical Rifle matches with. Was thinking 18inch mid length gas tube on a CMT left handed upper.
Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for the feedback. The bigger tube is not more accurate for your needs IMHO. It is better for higher round count longer range as it heats up slower thanks to the extra mass. I have something of everything and I go with a standard weight. I've shot 3G for over thirty year and have yet to misda target because the barrel was too hot. Trust me I can heat 'em up. I actually prefer a 6X45 though I happen to havea new 223 headed my way to compare to my new BHW 6X45 upper. Greg
