Hello everyone. This is my first post so bear with me. I recently built my first Rifle Length gun (20inch) with a complete upper from Surplus Ammo chambered in 5.56 with a BHW HBAR barrel and 1:8 twist on a Bushmaster Multi Caliber Lower. The goal with this build was to try my hand at precision shooting. Now that being said with the overwhelming amounts of ammunition out there. I was wondering what factory ammunition you guys would recommend. I understand handloads tailored specifically for your rifle is the way to go but I just don't have the time or equipment. I've read entirely too much about Black Hills mk262 and it looks like a sweet round. I just want to make sure it will stabilize out of my barrel. Also, are there any other factory match style ammo that you guys would recommend? I'm remaining open minded to other bullet weights. If you have any questions about my specific rig let me know I will do my best to answer as soon as possible.
Thanks for the help. Ryan

Welcome to the board and BHW barrels.
The BH stuff is good. You could also try the Federal Gold Medal Match in 69 and 77. Your barrel will stabilize up to 80's without any issue.

Wow that was fast. I appreciate the timely response Greg. I have yet to break the barrel in, but once I do I will be posting some range data. Finally going to be a contributor not just a reader.

Welcome, PSA has Fed Fusion MSR 62 gr on sale through Sep 28th, a hot round, as accurate as Fed Gold Match in my rifles, @ 100 yds. The FPS rating on the MSR box is for 16", which throws some people off, that don't understand..

I will try them all! I actually hadn't considered the MSR or the Nosler. Will post results later.
