I used my 6x6.8 to take a Montana whitetail yesterday. It was a 4x4 shot at 75 yards with a 80 gr Hornady GMX. Deer only ran about 30 yards. I am impressed with the results. The bullet went through but opened up nicely. I would post pictures but by the time I got him back to the truck and back home, I was late for a night out with friends.

Nice shootin'! Looking forward to the pics! Wish I had a 6x6.8 again but wouldn't be able to use it where I hunt Saturday here in MN opener...shotgun and pistol only so my 6.8 pistol will have to do the trick.

Sorry, for the lack of pics. I have to travel so I do not have time to process the meat. My friend is going to do it plus make jerky out of it. I dropped it off by his house the other night and he has it all skinned out. I am going back to him when I return to pick up the rack.
The load is 28.5 8208xbr at 2.8 inches, using federal small primered brass lit by a CCI4BR. This load works in my rifle and the load shows no pressure signs or swipes.

Understand getting the meat taken care of first, and on a short schedule. thanks for sharing the load data. that's close to what I ended up with using 8208 but mine has much shorter COL. Those 80 gr GMX 6mm pills hit the lands in my BHW barrel from 2.226" to 2.265" according to the Hornady OAL gauge. The 87 gr VMAX are better with 2.280" to 2.312" according to the Hornady OAL gauge.
