I have a BHW 264 lbc , when I first built the gun It shot fairly well ( 100+ rounds )but the more I shoot it the worse it groops , I originally shot factory (2.245 coal ) handloads but after I started having trouble I decided to check my barrel throat depth. Turns out it takes 2.390 to get to the lands !! I know these have forgiving throats but this sounds very extreme to me .
Any opinions on the COAL being so long ? I have been reloading for over 30 years and have never seen anything like this before .

It's about normal based on mine. I never shoot factory and shoot loads out to magazine lenght of 2.300 with some bullets. Some of mine can go 2.314 in the ASC magazines.
Did you measure it before you shot it? Most AR's amaze me how deep they are. One more reason why I like some of the wildcat chambers I shoot.
