After spending many a mile back and forth going down to Young Manufacturing on various projects he has finally got all the parts, done in house BTW, for his bolts. These are for the 7.,62X 39 , 0.125 depth, Nicely chromed and MPI'd. The are enhanced in that the lugs are heavier and will add additional strength to the strong 9310 steel. Standard barrel extension is used on these. The tail is cut for use with a standard firing pin so no need to spend extra $$'s there. I've been holding off on my 20 LBC loading as I want to push them hard and wanted to wring these out. Hopefully Tuesday will be the big day. One is on it's way to St. George for a freshly minted 243 LBC shakedown that will be loaded hot to see what we can get out of it. I'll be getting more of these in the near future. He is taking phone orders at this point. Greg

Thank you Greg. I am interested in this improved bolt.
I bought two Maxim bolts and still running the original. Under 100 rounds using start to mid loads. I'll watch to see how these do as pressure goes up.

In what way are the lugs heavier? My head is having a hard time seeing the dimensions of them growing and having it still work.

I finally went out and shot the bolt today. I've been waiting for a calm day for almost two weeks and it just didn't happen. I figured it's better to kill some dirt rather than wonder.
I packed up my 7.62X39 and my short 243 LBC a bunch of ammo and headed to s local shooting area. One bcg was packed. First one up was the LBC. First shot was single loaded and the case flew nicely out the port. Grabbed up a handful of rounds and repeated as above at a decent rate.
I swapped the bcg into the Commie gun and did the one shot test with some PPU.. Success again. I then stuck five more in the magazine and put the empties in a nice piie quickly. Next up was some genuine bottom of the barrel Wolf. I put ten rounds in the magazine and proceeded to try to rock and roll on semi. I hadn't seen a brass rainbow in a long time but I did today. .woo hoo!! A magazine of Fiochhi followed along quickly and trouble free. I was down to my last flavor I ran Zombie Max ammunition. It ran flawlessly.
The bolt ran 100%. Feeding and extraction was flawless with all the testing ammunition. If you've been around awhile it is not unusual to have to rework 7.62 bolts if the extractor is too sharp or the ejector is too tall. I'll be putting these in my front line chamberings. I will try to obtain a 136 Grendel bolt next week for a shakedown on that one.

Just thought I'd add a picture of two complete BCG's from Young that I picked up yesterday morning.. These are both 7.62X39. They are headed out to a young man that is using them for a good cause. I'm pretty impressed with these and after seeing the tooling to make them I am even doubly so. Greg

Greg, How much did you pay for those? I bought one from Young Manufacturing too, standard ar15 chrome bcg with 7.62x39 bolt. It cost me $247.00 plus shipping. They are nice but pricey.

Ordered one from Young's. It arrived quickly and is going in my 264LBC parts box.
