Greetings,
I have been trying to locate case gages for both the 6x45mm and 6mm SPC cases. Curious if anyone knows of a source that makes them? I've tried searching the web, but have not yet found anything. Thanks, Brad

Greetings, I have been trying to locate case gages for both the 6x45mm and 6mm SPC cases. Curious if anyone knows of a source that makes them? I've tried searching the web, but have not yet found anything. Thanks, Brad If you are only interested in checking sized cases and not looking at bullet placement then a 223 and a 6.8 gauge will do the trick for you. The shoulders are not moved in either set up. In all honesty with a Hornady HS gauge or one made with shell casings and a caliper you can get it all done. The gauges measure SAAMI sizing but there is as much as 0.008-0.010 allowable and when you stack tolerances things just don't always fit. You have a great arbitrator for case fit in your specific rifle chamber by using it for your gauge. A shoulder bump of 0.004 is going to run all the time and if you want insurance 0.005. I personally run mine at 0.003 all the time but I have had no issues in mine but that might just be clean living. I suggest that on those two you address distance to lands as just jumping in and loading to 2.255 may get you in trouble sioner than later depending on your bullet choice. Run the long ASC magazines and you will have plenty of latitude for bullet adjustment if your chambering allows it. Long and pointy are one thing but short and fat can really ruin your day. Accuracy lives and dies by the ogive placement as do pressures in many instances. Greg

I modified a Dillon .223 case gauge for my 6x45 cases. All a 6x45 case is a necked up .223/5.56 case anyway. Took my time and opened up the neck section of the gauge to accept a sized 6mm case neck. For a more precise headspace measurement, I still prefer the Hornady Headspace comparator used on a caliper. As mentioned, the 6x6.8 cases could be measured with a 6.8 SPC case gauge. If you want more accuracy with the case neck diameter. I suppose bushing could be made.
Thanks, Glenn
