www.khq.com/story/15902592/armed-man-on-the-loose-in-grant-countySo as I was packing up to leave yesterday we noticed an officer was hot on the tail of someone coming down the road that goes by the shop. For anyone who has visited us, we're pretty far out of town. The next thing we know it was like half the county's police force was right at our doorstep. They'd cornered the guy on H.1, about a block from us. I had a police scanner on my phone and all I heard was "Tell the residents they need to find a way out or bunker down." A Man with a shot gun was trying to out run police. In front of the BHW shop. Where the majority of our neighbors are active and retired police and military folks. I wonder who had the bigger guns. The man was finally caught after trying to enter someone's home. Not the Brightest crayon in the box.

I am happy you guys are safe. It is hard to tell what an armed wacko can do. Specially those under drugs influence they are totally unpredictable that create very dangerous situations.

My wife and I were at the cabin last weekend above Ashford when the looney toon killed the park ranger. All the old locals armored up and sat down with good views towards the park boundries. Survivalist my butt ..... you don't walk in the water when theres snow on the ground and it's freezing in tennis shoes. Luckly the young man killed himself . Stump

Another idiot going cucu. God bless the ranger and her family. She was simply doing her job. More ammunition for the antigun folks.
