Am I incorrect to think that the x47 cases would not cycle reliably put of standard mags? Share with me Ritch

You are right. A full size 6.5X47 case will not feed. It is just the case Carl wanted to use to make brass from.

I really would lean to the 30 BR since it is so easy to make out of 6 BR brass if I wanted easy. If I want to go crazy from the loading standpoint I might consider just shoving back the shoulder on a 308/243 case, trimming and seeing how long I could still leave it and seat the bullets out. My gut tells me I would gain nothing and arrive back at the 1.55 length or a slightly long 308 X 11/2 case for way more work with no gains whatsoever. Just my musings with no directionality. Greg
