Anyone used the monocular that is mounted in front of your daytime sight. Or can recommend a good product

Not really. It looks like an idea but you might loose light transmission as they are not designed for that. hummm..... What about an entry forward NV system?

I have personally used a camera through NVG's to take pictures at night for recreational purposes. One can make up the picture image with no problem but it was not as crisp as it should be...but that's what happens when you use two devices that were not designed to work together.
Will it work with a day scope? Probably at the lowest magnification when the most light is transmited. Will it work with a red-dot sight? IMHO, you'd have better chances with a red-dot than a rifle scope. I guess there is only one way to find out. Let us know how it went. ;D

Yes! I see now. Those forward mounted are the ones that you couple with your optics. Not good for the day time but at night they are great. I also used with a target designator and a rubber tube that couples the forward NV with your glass ...or at least that's the way used to work in the service.

Those should work....the cross hairs in a rifle scope might be too dark at times, but it should work just fine.
