Here I am again, searching for your wisdom. I am not quite sure of all the differences between the 264LBC and the 6.5 Grendel. I understand they are compatible and one can shoot Grendel bullets through a 264LBC barrel and vice versa. However, since both cartridges are not exactly alike, how would those differences (regardless of how minute they may be) affect long range accuracy?
I have 6.5 Grendel brass and dies, but I am concern about ordering a 264LBC barrel if I means sacrificing the one thing that cartridge was designed for.
Thanks for your input.

The loads you develop will have a bigger influence than what the headstamp says. It looks like the brass is the same , but the chambers are different. Check the Internet. One article I found: sniper hide 264lbcI think the BHW reamer is listed on their web page.

You will give up nothing in the 264 LBC barrel with Grendel ammo and vice versa. You know that Hornady is loading 264 LBC ammo and selling 6.5 Grendel brass? The only difference is the stamp they put in the machine that makes the brass for them!! Your 6.5 dies will do fine loading what ever you run up in them. Greg

In my opinion the best LBC system the money could put together vs. the best Grendel system the money could put together the LBC will come slightly on top and the answer is precisely in the slight difference in the chamber dimension specially in the neck. I am not getting deep into the details but in a nutshell, while both are cross compatible the LBC ends up with a better dynamics position when starting the bullet. I am amazed about the results the folks are reporting here with the polygonal barrels and the 6.5 LBC or any of the offspring.
