Chris, did you ever get a rifle put together for your Dad? I think it's fantastic you are putting so much thought into this. I'm looking at a lot of the same issues. Thanks,

Ok guys, this is a good subject Post your information with fact. If you are over pressure tell us how you know that ie: (computer data reloading book or ?) if it's velocity post what kind of chronograph under what conditions you tested the load and so on. Dig deeper into subjects and post a broader range of data on subjects. Make this an educational place as well as a fun place to share

Yes, please do post the info.
Part of the reason why I chose this particular round was based off of the load data I stumbled upon on the predator forum previously posted on here.
I took that info (AR,not the bolt info) as a great starting point for my -10% starting loads. I want to keep my pressures down, hopefully below the 52K mark. That pressure is the reason why I even started to look at this round after hearing too many friends with extraction issues with their Grendels.

The 6x45 is a great option. As with any wildcat the first thing is to know your chamber since not all the reamers are the same. You need to find the dimensions at the throat. I can post the dimensions I have from 3 different barrels makers and they all are different. I do not have all 100% figured out but what I have I am happy to share. By a general rule never take a load as GOOD TO GO by anyone unless you are 100% sure they are shooting from the same precise chamber and barrel maker and have the precise COAL. Probably most starting loads are good to go and one must use caution and good judgement like with any reloading. I found playing whit the bullets and lengths a good way to either increase speed and keep pressure at check. Does anyone have the dimensions of the reamer/chamber for the BH 6x45 chamber? Also by principal the BH 3xpoly should assist by reducing bore drag and therefore pressure but I have not tested yet but finally the barrel is on the mail so I will put any info I get here given that some folks are interested here. I am writing an article on this round and working on a publication in a couple of local club fliers and potentially a magazine. I have other posts out there in the web with lots of research and the 6x45 following is very good to this day. I am not inventing anything new in the year 2012 but simply continuing the work where others left out. Wildcatters are always fun and a collaborative approach is the norm. (...unlike some of the other threads and subjects and general attitude that sadly take precedence in some forums these days) Thanks.
