Curious if anyone has an opinion on good 6.5 bolt options for a new BHW 264LBC barrel?
The bolt will be going into an LAR Grizzly OPS4 side charge upper and bolt carrier.

Now THAT is a good thread. Thanks! Yeah, I didn't see any bolts offered on BHW's site, so assumed I had to get my own. I'll make sure to get one when I order the barrel.
Thanks!

BHW has both LH and RH, 6.5 bolts and they are made of the best steel available.

BHW no longer carries the 6.5 bolts I couldn't find any at Midway or Brownell's... any ideas where I might be able to pick one up? Oz

Les Baer Alexander Arms Model One Sales AR 15 Preformance When I talked to Harrison at Ar15Performance his 6.5 bolts required his extension. They were superbolts. Just FYI to double check before buying. I got my type 1 from les Baer.

Today, I just got my new BHW LH railed upper with 6.5 bolt and BHW .264LBC barrel. Barrel is 24" heavy barrel, for really reaching out there on varmints.
I also ordered another BHW LH upper with 6.5 bolt and a LTR barrel in .264 LBC for deer/hog hunting. Andy really helped me decide on the deer rifle and barrel profile.
The upper and barrel are superb. Excellent quality and the upper is super tight on my lower - either on my Stag lower or my Anvil Arms lower.

I don't know but I know that with such a small amount of them available we don't get a lot of choices. Unfortunate but true. Then again we run in to the repackaged stuff just like AR lowers and uppers. Five or six manufacturers but 20-30 brands on the market. What can we do? I just shut up and buy the stuff and shoot the snot out of them. YMMV with your vast experience. Greg

I don't know either, but in speaking directly with Andy, he said that they've had NO problems with their 6.5 bolts. A friend of mine has had 2 bolt failures with his AA 6.5 Grendel. His newest bolt seems fine.
Perhaps Kiz can ask Carl or Andy about the steel. If you guys seem to have problems locating a RH, 6.5 bolt, just think how hard it is to find one in LH. I'll tell ya...BHW is the only one I've ever found. That's why I ordered 2!

I didn't realize BHW had bolts, I got mine from Satern.
These are the type 2 bolt, and they're exquisitely hard chromed. ;D
