? so does fluting harm accuracy ? No but if it is not done properly it will induce stress into the steel. Which will effect accuracy.

I am currently considering a very similar build. So I guess I'd like to know how the balance is on the 16" LTM. Also Rainier arms has a simular barrel they call their Medcon barrel that is 30.4 oz 5 Poly and the BHW 3 poly is 32oz? So does that mean the BHW is has a bit more metal on it and is a slightly bigger profile?

Yes there is 1 1/2 onces more steel in a BHW. Contour variation willl be minimal. Greg
