I had heard through crew room talk that there were a couple manufacturers of the ammo. I think it was corbon and blackhills? Anybody know if there are any others making it or thinking of making it in the future? I'm not set up for reloading yet(though I'm getting close for reloading 45acp). I have built a rock solid reloading bench but dont have any equipment yet. One of my problems is I cant seem to figure out what all I need to resize 5.56 to 6x45. Sounds like it could be a terrific p.i.t.a. So thats why I'm leaning towards just buying some. You guys ever buy it?

As I understand it, all that is needed to turn a .223 case into a 6x45 case is to run it through a 6x45 resizing die. Shouldn't be any trouble at all.

To make 6X45 get a set of Hornady 6X45 dies. Put in press, insert 223 case and run them through. The sizer will neck the 223 up to 6 MM and you load just like anything else. the FANCY way is a 6 MM expander from Sinclair and then load 'em up with a bushing die set up from Redding. I've done both for the past 20+ years. 300 223 Winchesters necked up to 6 MM: 200 of them loaded up with 87 grain Hornadys for a 500 yard F-Class match using Redding FL bushing dies: Absolutely one of the best "wildcats" on the planet. A great starting point but wait until you seethe new 6X6.8 that we are working with. It is the Big Brother to the 6X45. Greg

6x6.8 ? will it be different than the 6WOA (White Oak Arm.) or the 6 DTI from DTech?

6x6.8 ? will it be different than the 6WOA (White Oak Arm.) or the 6 DTI from DTech? Well, yes. It is a 6X6.8. No shoulder movement back or forth. No change in shoulder angle. Look at the threads here on the board about it. It has been being discussed off and on for several months here. Ritch Johnson, on the Pro Staff, got ambitious and obtained the reamer for BHW and we are all going to benefit from his foresight.
